This is a piece I finished this weekend.  I tried something new by adding some goldleaf to the edges and then used only one color to frame the image with.  I like the effect that was created.  This piece reminds me of the story Sleeping Beauty with its colors, pose and darkness.

This is a piece I was inspired to do for a coworker.  It is from a snap shot she took at the mall.  I think it might be one of my favorites.

Here is a pic I just finished of my little sis.  It started off as a joke - - I chose a pic that she was just fooling around in but now that I am finished I really like it.

This is a pair of Betta painting is just finished up.  This time I decided to use colored charcoals instead of watercolors.  I like that change it created.

I took this photo of my sis and her daughter while on vacation.  i loved the photo and wanted to preserve the moment in a special way.

Here is a piece I recently finished of a wonderful friend and her two daughters.  Now that it is complete I am happy with it but I wish it was on a gallery wrapped canvas and that I had made it quite a bit larger.

In this piece of my family photo project I tried to give the subject a luminous quality.  I particularly love how dimentional this piece feels.

This is my second piece in the series I am doing of family photos.  I love how the paint seems to be creeping in from the edges.
